Get Involved : Committees

Most of the work of PCHFH happens through our many volunteer committees including

  • Homeowner Selection
Select partner families to become homeowners; develop marketing plan to reach potential applicants; review all applications and process them according to federal regulations and board policies; recommend qualified applicants, house size and mortgage length; review selection policies, recommending changes as needed.

Provide guidance and support in operation and growth of the ReStore; develop marketing plans with staff to reach prospective donors and customers; recommend policies and procedures for efficient, safe store operations. Oversee the facility management.

    Family Support
Welcome families into the Habitat family and provide them with a support system; recruit, train and oversee the PAL program; review policies and procedures to assure they meet the goals of the affiliate for the families; assist with Home Advantage Curriculums; plan Annual Appreciation Dinner, Family Social Events and Dedications.

Work with staff and board to meet the financial needs of the organization; develop an annual fundraising plan, including building the donor base and giving clubs; plan "ask" events, increase house sponsorships and campaign management; assist in building relationships with local businesses and individuals.

    Faith Relations
Assist in developing relationships among the church community in Putnam County. As a Christian ministry, PCHFH provides local mission work for congregations. Seek representatives at churches to provide communications among the membership. Maintain an accurate database of the faith community

Special Events like our Cooking on the Square and the Dream Builders Lunch!
Help coordinate event, participant and volunteer recruitment, secure sponsorships, logistics planning, and other related tasks surrounding the event.

Committees typically meet once a month. Contact Pam Ealey (528-1711 ext 1) to see what openings are available.
